On the stage, we meet five strong women, both with and without a Kven background, who present historical and personal narratives about vaimovoima through traditional, contemporary and street dance. There will also be live music!

They say that a Kven woman’s hands are never empty, and vaimovoima is often used as a compliment of women with an inner drive, who make positive things happen for themselves and those around them. The expression is also about the female community. “Vaimo” describes any kind of female, regardless of what it means for the individual.
