Workshop: Eun-Me Ahn

The workshop deals with the individual performer’s control over the energy and core of the body. After a short warm-up, choreographer Eun-Me Ahn will lead the participants through parts of the North Korea Dance production and the company’s repertoire.

Since she graduated from Traditional Korean Dance, a school based around precise and demanding discipline, choreographer Eun-Me Ahn has pursued a highly varied and exciting career in dance art and performance. As well as developing her own solo works, which included jumping from the top of a crane and attacking a piano with an axe, she has also created several works for Gadja Productions. She has also created major productions which included the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Daegu in 2002. She is currently an associated artist at the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris.
