The iconic production A Song To..., which has as many as 50 people on the stage, is back, 11 years later – a unique production in a Norwegian and Nordic context.

A Song To... has appeared on numerous prestigious stages in Europe and the USA, involving countless local communities. Hundreds of people from a range of countries have performed on the stage in this piece. Since 2005, Mia Habib has created 12 new productions in collaboration with Dansens Hus, and we now have the chance to revisit one of them!
In an era dominated by major protests, marches, commemorations and migration all over the world, crowds of bodies are invading our lives. Protesting, fleeing their homes, grieving, expressing their joy and supporting each other. In A song to..., we see a huge body impelled by an invisible, but nonetheless universal circle of life. By running and falling, moving in circles and forming sculptural tableaux, the bodies simultaneously create a protest and an invocation. By connecting disturbing images and emotions around the mass of people and their physical fragility, the production creates an inner tension that simultaneously unites and disrupts.
