- It is in the mass scenes that Habib demonstrates her strongest side as a choreographer. When people walk and run in repeated patterns, she draws on their energy in a way that is exciting. She creates a fine balance between large, collective movements and tiny, delicate caresses, juxtaposing the flow of time against momentary encounters.

In a critical examination of mass protests, concepts of monumental art as a political instrument, and research into swarm intelligence, A song to... depicts a diversity of naked bodies of all ages and backgrounds as a critical mass: representation, overwhelm and mass dynamics, but also singularity and isolation.The audience is presented with bodies that purposefully refuse to allow unambiguous interpretations, bodies that are continuously transforming and taking on new forms which appear in turns to be animalish, artistic, sacred or object-like. A song to… is a physical manifestation of the monumentality of the body, largely inspired by Gustav and Emanuel Vigeland, and examines the physical forces that are put in motion by large mass movements.Further reference points associated with monumentality in A song to... are the problematic body ideologies of the 1930s and 1940s, in which bodies were presented as insuperable. These ideologies are now back in focus in various ways. A song to… is a way of referencing these notions of what the body is, and destabilising them. Vigeland Sculpture Park opened in Norway during the German occupation, and depicts monumental moments in our lives, such as birth, death and ageing. In A song to… Habib works with the question: How does monumental appear today? Which bodies are allowed to be present? And what do they contain – what aspects of life, death, fear and love? Inspired by the Vigeland brothers’ mysterious dialogue between birth, erotic love and death, she asks: How can the monumental be represented by a single figure, and how can fragile bodies contain huge, existential questions?&nbsp;

- When an invisible force draws everyone in, this forms a core that radiates enormous energy, until it breaks apart once more. Habib uses this to show us that a compact mass has an enormous strength, which loses all its power when it breaks up.

It has not taken long for Karhutanssi Dance Company to become a leading voice in the increasing presence of Kven art and culture, bringing an old cultural heritage into contemporary art. Their first production, which like the company is called Karhutanssi/Bjørnedans, after the oldest form of Kven dance, became a hit with audiences at the Arts Festival of North Norway, and was officially Norway’s first Kven dance production. It premièred in 2023, and has been on tour ever since, appearing on large and small stages across the Nordic region, as well as national stages such as Riksscenen and Den Norske Opera &amp; Ballett. The company is now finally ready with its new production, which will be the first collaboration between Dansens Hus and Karhutanssi Dance Company.Choreographer Astrid Serine Hoel has been exploring and documenting Kven traditional dance and movement culture since 2017, and is a pioneer in the field. Kven dance has been almost completely erased from dance history, partly because of the long-term assimilation and discrimination of the Kven people, and partly because dance came to be regarded as sinful in some strictly religious Kven communities. It is therefore a great pleasure for us to see that Kven dance is now flourishing and in demand, both nationally and internationally!

-	An adaptation of a classic work of sci-fi leads to a weird and wonderful walk in the woods.

Mathilde Caeyers is a choreographer and dancer, living in Tromsø. She is currently taking a Master's in choreography at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In 2018, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Honours degree in dance from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. She has since created two dance films and five choreographic works, one of which, New Religion, was performed at Dansens Hus in 2023.&nbsp;Her Master’s studies are expanding her artistic field in numerous directions. Her areas of interest include the construction and deconstruction of meaning, questions about truth and proof, and long-standing passions for cats and science fiction.Caeyers has been awarded artists’ grants by Arts Council Norway, Fund for Performing Artists, and Troms og Finnmark county authority.&nbsp;

Bobbi Lo Produktion is a Swedish dance company that creates inclusive performance art for children and young people, with a strong physical expression that challenges and inspires. Directed by Lava Markusson and Michael Tang, since 2018 the company has been producing works that provoke reflection and dialogue about and in our era. Based in Malmö, they tour nationally and internationally, bringing art that engages and moves us.

Mette Ingvartsen is a&nbsp;Danish choreographer and dancer with a company based in Brussels. Her internationally reclaimed work is characterized by hybridity and engages in extending choreographic practices by combining dance and movement with other domains such as visual arts, technology, language and theory. Besides performing, writing and lecturing, her practice includes teaching and sharing research through workshops with students at universities and art schools. In 2024 she received the lifetime achievement&nbsp;award&nbsp;from the&nbsp;Danish Arts&nbsp;Foundation.&nbsp;

Johana Malédon&nbsp;is a choreographer and performer from French Guiana. Her artistic journey started somewhere between Paris, New York and Israel, where she discovered dance both as a safe haven and an escape. In 2019 she started&nbsp;Compagnie MÂLE, with the aim of working from the body, not with it. She relates to the body as a living archive – porous, bearing the marks of life, able to resist, and constantly changing. Johana Malédon&nbsp;is drawn to spaces where instinct meets dramaturgy, where movement becomes a common basis for resistance, friction and social resonance. As a performer, her artistic universes have intersected with those of performers including Léo Lérus, Fouad Boussouf, Abou and Nawal Lagraa and Sylvain Groud. Now, as associate artist with Théâtre Louis Aragon&nbsp;(and previously with CCN du Havre), she continues to explore how the body transforms, disrupts and makes archives. &nbsp;

Mufutau Yusuf is a Nigeria-born Irish choreographer, performer, and teacher based in Ireland and Brussels. His acclaimed works, including Òwe and Impasse, have toured across Ireland, Europe, the US, and Nigeria.&nbsp; In 2025, Mufutau was elected to membership of Aosdána, a body which honours artists whose work has made an outstanding contribution to the Arts in Ireland.He has worked with artists and companies such as Wim Vandekeybus/Ultima Vez, Liz Roche Company, Irish Modern Dance Theatre and Emma Martin/United Fall. Mufutau is a resident choreographer with Luail, Ireland's National Dance Company and shares his practice through teaching and improvisation internationally.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Heine Avdal and Yukiko Shinozaki have been collaborating since 1996. They have created more than 30 performances presented in over 35 countries.&nbsp;Together they explore performativity as a porous and shifting interplay of movement, sound, image and technology. Drawing from a wide range of disciplines, their work creates layered performances where dance becomes an expanded field of inquiry. With sensitivity to both the organic and the artificial, they blur boundaries – crafting spaces where new meanings can emerge, quietly or unexpectedly.&nbsp;At the heart of their work lies a desire to reimagine the body’s relationship to its surroundings, and to invite audiences into this ongoing act of discovery. In 2025, they received the Hedda Award for until, which premiered at Dansens Hus in Oslo. The performance is part of <a href="https://coda.dance/en">CODA International Dance Festival</a>

Diana Niepce (PT) is a choreographer, dancer, curator and author. Graduated from the Escola Superior de Dança (Portugal), completed an Erasmus program at Teatterikorkeakoulun in Helsinki, and holds a Master’s degree in Art and Communication from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is an associated artist at Espaço do Tempo and has created several works, including Forgotten Fog (2015), Raw a nude (2019), 12 979 Dias (2019), Dueto (2020), T4 (2020), Anda, Diana (SPA Award, 2021), The Other Side of Dance (2022), Enfreakment (2024), Utopia (2024), Norm (2024), and Hornfuckers (2026).As a curator, she has been involved in the Political Bodies cycle (2024, Culturgest) and the Reunião project (2025). She also develops work in training and inclusion within the performing arts, particularly with artists with disabilities, through initiatives such as Fora da Norma (2023) and Norm (2023).As a dancer and performer, she has collaborated with various national and international artists. Her most recent publications include the children’s story Bayadère (CNB), the book Anda, Diana (Sistema Solar), and the short story “Broken and Smelly, Are the Stones.” for the Rota Memorial do Convento.

MYKA was established in 2013 by My Grönholdt and Katya R. D. Nielsen, both graduates in dance and choreography from the Danish National School of Performing Arts. The company is currently directed by My Grönholdt. MYKA creates unique, sensory experiences for families, in which both children and adults can find meditative calm, closeness and magic. MYKA uses productions inspired by nature, animals and natural phenomena to explore topical and touching themes in a way that makes them accessible and fascinating to any age group.Genuine interaction with the audience is at the heart of MYKA’s work. Artistic quality and sensory stimulation are key. There are no hierarchies in the creative process, which means that there is an equal focus on every element. MYKA’s productions can be experienced on stages (theatres, cultural centres) and in art spaces (museums, galleries), often as 360-degree installations. The company’s methods are based on research into children’s perception, and involve experts in creative processes that focus on co-creation and shared intellectual and creative processes. The result is high-quality productions that generate wonder and closeness – for children and adults.MYKA has previously performed UNTZ BABY UNTZ three times at Dansens Hus (2022, 2024 and 2025), which was a huge hit with children and adults. Hyper Coral is their latest production, which premièred at Betty Nansen theatre in Copenhagen on 24 May 2025.&nbsp;

- Hyper Coral is not just a production – it is a space, a moment and a state. It’s an experience in which children and adults come together in a shared sensory field, and where art is allowed to be alive, sensory and deeply human.

-  In her hands, dance is an activist act. For over 40 years, Lia Rodrigues has used movement to break down barriers, make art accessible to all, and argue—lyrically and persuasively—for greater inclusion and diversity.

Lia Rodrigues, dubbed “Brazil’s miraculous choreographer” by the Financial Times, was born in 1956 in São Paulo, Brazil. She studied classical ballet and history at the University of São Paulo (USP), becoming part of the city’s contemporary dance movement in the 1970s. After a lengthy period in Europe as a dancer, she returned to Brazil and set up the Lia Rodrigues Companhia de Danças in Rio de Janeiro, and in 1992 established the Panorama Festival in Rio and ran it for 14 years.Since 2004, her company has supported educational and creative activities in the Maré Favela in Rio de Janeiro, and this led to the establishment of the Maré Arts Centre, which opened in 2009 and the Free Dance School of Maré, which opened in 2011. Rodrigues combines dance and activism on themes such as racism, inequality and poverty, demonstrating the synergy between art and social processes. She works with dancers from the favela, as well as with performers of different backgrounds and physiques. At the crossroads between performance, visual art and dance, her work moves the body outside its comfort zone.Among the wide variety of her productions previously performed at Dansens Hus are Encantado&nbsp;in 2023 and For the Sky not to Fall in 2017. Lia Rodrigues has received the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters from France, the Prince Claus Award from the Netherlands in 2014 and the SACD Award for Choreography in France in 2016. She was voted 2019 Choreographer of the Year by Tanz magazine.Borda is a colourful celebration of life, a challenge to our divisions, and a reminder that borders made by humans can also be changed.

Janne-Camilla Lyster er koreograf, forfatter og utøver med bred erfaring innen dans og litteratur. Hun har en doktorgrad fra Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, der hun underviser i koreografi. Lysters arbeid omfatter utendørs dans, koreografi, litteratur og tverrkunstneriske prosjekter, blant annet med samtidsmusikere som Ellen Ugelvik, Lene Grenager and Nikolaus Gangsterer.Hun har presentert verk på scener som Black Box Teater, Dansens Hus, Det Norske Teatret, Den Norske Opera &amp; Ballett, Nasjonalmuseet, Ultimafestivalen, Kunsthall Oslo, samt internasjonalt. I april 2024 viste hun forestillingen Library of Gestures med 20 dansere og to musikere på Dansens Hus. Som utøver har hun blant annet samarbeidet med den amerikanske koreografen Deborah Hay. Lyster har også utgitt flere bøker, inkludert diktsamlinger, romaner og koreografiske partiturer. Pinquins er en eksperimentell musikktrio fra Oslo, bestående av Jennifer Torrence, Sigrun Rogstad Gomnæs og Ane Marthe Sørlien Holen. I 15 år har de skapt verk med komponister, instrumentbyggere og musikere innen sjangre som fri improvisasjon og støymusikk, med fokus på objekter, kropp og stemme for å utfordre tradisjonelle forestillingsformer. Trioen har opptrådt på festivaler som Donaueschingen, Ultima, Spor og Only Connect. Armin Hokmi works with dance and choreography. His starting point was as an actor in Iran in 2009, and he has since studied and worked internationally. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Acting from the Norwegian Theatre Academy (2015–2018) and a Master’s degree in Solo/Dance/Choreography from HZT Berlin (2019–2021).As an associated artist at Montpellier Danse 2024–2026, he explores dance that falls outside traditional categories. His work is characterized by precision, accuracy, and a blend of joy and sensitivity. He previously presented the performance Shiraz at Dansens Hus in August 2025.

Papirvinger is directed by choreographer, dancer and pedagogue Ine Terese Hogstad, who explores the relationship between place, nature and people. With a holistic, phenomenological perspective, she creates new spaces and new worlds, and is fascinated by how tiny details can be connected to bigger contexts.In recent years, she has focused on multi-aesthetic performance art productions for very young children, with an emphasis on tactile, holistic experiences and sensorimotor presence. Her works include Fabelaktig (2022, contemporary circus and dance), Lutter øre (2025, for children aged from 0–3 years) and Fløyelshjertet(designed for children with visual impairment, part of the Dansens Hus initiative BIG art for ALL children).Hogstad has a Bachelor's degree in dance from the University of Stavanger, and a Master’s in dance studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She also runs Papirvinger, collaborates with Moonmade Produksjoner and runs the ImproLaBergen dance collective.&nbsp; The performance is a co-production with Dansens Hus and is part of the project GREAT Art for All Children, which focuses on promoting diversity in performing arts for children.GREAT Art for All Children is supported by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

Ole Kristian Tangen graduated from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and moved to Spain in 2013 to dance in IT DANSA under Catherine Allard. There he worked with choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Alexander Ekman and Jiří Kylián, and has toured throughout much of Europe.He has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Norway and internationally since 2015. He set up the company Tangen|Benzal with Jesús Benzal, and has created works for companies in Czechia, Hungary and Spain. He has received numerous awards, including the Premi de Dansa de l’Institut del Teatre, and in 2025 set up his own initiative, ok prosjekter.He has been associated with zero visibility corp./Ina Christel Johannessen since 2015, and has toured internationally with the company. He has also worked with the Danish Dance Theatre, Norwegian National Ballet, Kenneth Kvarnström and Metteson, where he has danced and choreographed concerts and music videos.The production is still a work in progress, and will have its world première at Dansens Hus in December 2026.
