A moving production about the power of a friendship.

Fløyelshjertet invites you into a sensory and immersive world. Using dance and live music, it tells a story of friendship and belonging. Together with four performers, some with visual impairment, choreographer Ine Teres Hogstad creates a production specially designed for adults and children, with and without visual impairment.
Fløyelshjertet is inspired by the children’s book The Velveteen Rabbit, the American classic written by Margery Williams in 1922, and explores the borderland between imagination, magic and reality. In this production, we meet a wise old hobby horse, a child and a velvet rabbit. We join them on a journey punctuated by big and small questions: How do you actually become real? What does it mean to be a good friend? Why is my heart pounding? From the soft and the heavy, from rolling, squeezing and falling, to gliding together, running and jumping high! On the journey, your seams might come undone a bit, and your fur get a little shabby, but what does that matter when you become truly important to someone else?
The idea behind Fløyelshjertet came from a curiosity and interest in exploring how a dance production can be experienced without using sight. The production connects to all our senses during the telling of the story, and opens the way for others to experience performance art.
The production is most suitable for children over the age of three.
