Welcome to Roller Disco at Dansens Hus!
When? June 25, 6:00 PM–11:00 PM
The evening is organized by Skate Jam in collaboration with Queer The Wack, and serves as a pre-party for Queer The Wack.
Skate Jam is a community and platform creating spaces where skating, dance, and music bring people together. Roller. Dance. Music. Come as you are. Community vibes.
This evening, we invite you to an open club night with international DJ sets, from disco classics to house and roller rink beats—a groovy mix of hip hop, soul, funk, and R&B.
Bring heels or wheels, your choice. The floor is open for both skating and dancing, whether you want to roll or move without skates.
The event is open to everyone aged 18 and up. Throughout the night, experienced roller skaters will lead jams and short introductory workshops, inviting the audience to join in and explore dance on wheels together on the floor.
Skating is at your own risk.

Strobe light is used during the Roller Disco.
- When you arrive at Dansens Hus, you can sign up for the skate slot you prefer.
The available slots are:
a) 18:00–19:30
b) 19:30–21:00
c) 21:00–22:30
- We encourage guests to skate as early as possible after arrival so that all slots are filled evenly throughout the evening.
- We cannot guarantee that everyone will get a skate slot, but we aim to give as many people as possible the chance—availability depends, among other things, on skate sizes.
- Skate rental is free and donation-based.
- Rental time is 1 hour, with approximately 15 minutes for pickup and 15 minutes for return—but it can be quicker, and sometimes you may get to skate longer.
- No prior experience is required, but skating is at your own risk!
- We encourage everyone to bring their own skates if they have them.
- The floor is open for dancing all evening—not just for roller skating.
- We have some protective gear (elbows, knees, wrists), but no helmets—if you want a helmet, you must bring your own.
