Lullabies is the theme of Lulla.

Lulla presents a world of song, movement and music, and shows us lullabies in new and traditional forms. A musical encounter that is open to participation from children and adults, on their own terms. Lulla does not tell a precise story; instead, it uses nursery rhymes to invite physical and musical interaction with the audience, and makes presence, listening and play vital elements in the encounter. Lulla explores an expression that envelops the auditorium, where the artistic and social show is created by the artists, children and adults. The sound and movement lend a sense of welcoming openness, and create dialogue and interaction with the children.

The Stavanger-based Dybwikdans has been producing performance art for very young children for several years. Their productions have been performed nationally and internationally. In 2015, they visited Dansens Hus with the installation The Toddlers’ Room. Dybwikdans wants its productions to form close encounters between the performers and audience, and interaction and participation are key elements in their productions.
