How do you perceive and understand the world when one of your senses is not working? The hearing-impaired dancer Cai Glover is the starting point for choreographer Hélène Blackburn’s production 9. Is it possible to capture the monumental grandeur of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony if you - like Beethoven himself - cannot hear? 9tackles this challenge in a courageous journey through the sensory apparatus, in which the constraints of silence are broken and the body is transformed into language.
Through its expressive dance and physical immediacy, this is a production suitable for all ages.
