Skjermbilde 2023 01 03 kl 14 58 20

Since the 50s, and even further back in history, women in Iran have always had an active role at the forefront of revolution. Regardless of ethnic background and class, the women have sacrificed themselves for freedom. They don't sacrifice their lives to die - they sacrifice their lives to be able to live a free life with dignity. From the very beginning, women have been at the forefront as a decisive pillar in the struggle for freedom in Iran.

In connection with the performance Sacrifice While Lost in Salted Earth (January 26 - 29), PRIO (Peace Research Institute Oslo), Impure Company and Dansens Hus are pleased to invite to a conversation between Banafshe Ranji, researcher in media and journalistic sociology in The research group for peace, conflict and development, Samira Amini, senior researcher in cognitive neuroscience at PRIO, and Hasti Hamidi, politician in the Socialist Left Party, about today's feminist, popular, secular and courageous revolutionary uprisings in Iran.
