Spilles: Fri 25. Jan Sat 26. Jan Sun 27. Jan

Via Kanana is an explosion of light and hope.

Despite a backdrop dominated by fear and resistance created by the corruption of post-apartheid South Africa, this is a production brimming with joy and the confidence that the man in the street will win in the end. Through video, song and dance, Via Kananatells us about the promised land which is not yet there, and about humanism against all odds.

It is an inspiring piece of dance with a powerful message, condemning the corrosive effects of corruption on society and expressing frustration at how little has really changed for the better for black people in South Africa since the end of Apartheid.
