The Future,
11.–17. August

Spilles: Sun 11. Aug Fri 16. Aug Sat 17. Aug

This year’s festival centres around the future.

The future is coming, whether you like it or not. You can prepare for it, embrace it or just let it wash over you. Praxisfestivalen 2019 highlights different ways of dealing with time, body, language and performance art, which can give us more elbow-room now and in the future.

Praxisfestivalen is an international platform for dance and choreography for professional artists. The festival also includes performances which are open to everyone.

The festival starts with a kick-off event and session with the artists in the foyer of Dansens Hus on Sunday 11 August. Free and open to everyone. There will then be five days of workshops for professional performance artists on the Studio Stage and at Scenehuset in Majorstua. On Saturday 17 August, we will join forces with PRAXIS Oslo to hold a seminar which is free and open to everyone, after which the festival artists will put on performances on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
