Pix on Art 2025

This year's film programme takes a thematic approach to age, gender and the body, with dance leading the narrative. Pix on Art 2025 challenges ageism, celebrates queerness and gives dance space as a narrative force.

On Wednesday 27 August, two very different feature films will be screened, both of which use dance and choreography as key elements in the storytelling. Between the films, you can experience a conversation about how dance works as a story teller – and how the language of film influences performing arts and choreography.

On Thursday 28 August, two documentary films show intimate and honest portraits of two women in different phases of their lives. Expect to be challenged, inspired and perhaps surprised – the documentaries offer an honest look at age, sexuality and freedom, and what it means to live outside the norm.

The Pix on Art programme is shown on the studio stage at Dansens Hus and is a collaboration with Oslo Pix Film Festival.
