Andersson Dance 2 Rasmus Baaner

<p>&Ouml;rjan Andersson began creating <i>Name of the Next Song </i>in 2011. The starting point was a 15-minute solo for the dancer Asher Lev, created in 2010. In this solo, &Ouml;rjan Andersson and Asher Lev began working with a basis in simple postures and movements from medieval imagery, captured in a pedestrian manner. The woman baking, the man carrying a candle, the boy turning a wheel, etc. As this work evolved, three additional performers subsequently joined the process. Sculptured spaces were created for the four dancers, focusing on the relation between light and darkness in disparate tableaux connected through the piece.</p>
