Workshop: Uppercut Dance Theater x PRODA

PRODA professional dance training and Dansenett Norge collaborate on arranging workshops for the professional dance field.

UC WS

A workshop with Uppercut Dance Theater expresses the style of the company, which is uniquely shaped by the individual dancers’ style. It is a fusion between the dancers’ approach to movement, drawing on inspiration from capoeira, break, contemporary and street dance.

Though fluent in the same movement language, the dancers each represent their unique history and heritage, bringing it together through the dynamism of floorwork and fluidity of contemporary dance.

Originally trained in capoeira, breaker Mark Philip merges various styles such as contemporary dance, floorwork, break and capoeira.
