Panel discussion: The position of jazz dance in the dance field today
In this discussion, dance artists Mariama Slåttøy, Nina Lill Svendsen and Ludvig Herstad will share their experiences of working with jazz dance and how they perceive the genre today. Topics such as visibility, hierarchy and credibility will be discussed. The discussion will be introduced by a short historical lecture by Sigrid Ø. Svendal, director of Danseinformasjonen, who will outline the development of jazz dance in Norway. Svendal will also lead the discussion.
