Access to the house

Artist entrance:
Please use the artist entrance on the corner of the building (facing Møllerveien), not the main entrance.

How to enter: Please see key chip information sent to you by your producer / tour manager.

Return of keys:
After your final performance, please return the complete key chain (chip, tag, and chain) by placing it in the mailbox in the artist lounge kitchen or in the box next to the large iron door in the foyer.
Please note that lost keys will be invoiced to the production at NOK 100 per missing key chain.

Our printers are employee-based. If you need something printed, send the file to a staff member for assistance.

 

Wardrobes & backstage

-  Rehearsal/tech days: wardrobes close 30 minutes after rehearsals on stage have ended (21:30 at the latest).
-  Performance days: backstage areas close 1 hour after the final performance.
Please help us keep shared spaces tidy.

Artist lounge & kitchen
The artist lounge is for you to relax and meet. If several productions are in the house at the same time, the space is shared.

Kindly:
-  Clean up after yourself
-  Use and empty the dishwasher
-  Leave the kitchen ready for the next day

Laundry

A laundry room in the basement (washing machines, dryers, drying cabinets) is available for costumes. If multiple companies are present, please coordinate use with the production coordinator or backstage manager.

 

Bar and alcohol

The Dansens Hus bar is open: 
-  1 hour before performances
-  2 hours after performances
Alcohol may not be brought backstage, and drinks from the bar cannot leave the licensed area.
Dansens Hus has zero tolerance for working under the influence of alcohol.

Parking
Dansens Hus has limited on-site parking, which must be reserved well in advance.
Alternative parking options nearby include:
• Vulkan P-Hus (Onepark)
• Street parking (via the EasyPark app)

The number of free tickets are regulated by your contract.
All tickets are issued digitally, please ask your producer regarding free/discounted tickets.

Fire & safety regulations

Please familiarise yourself with the emergency exits when you arrive.
If the alarm sounds:
-  Leave the building immediately
-  Go to the meeting point in front of Vulkan Arena
-  Wait there until further instructions are given

You are in one of Oslo’s most lively food areas. 
- Mathallen (next door) – wide variety of restaurants (closed Mondays)
-  Rema 1000 supermarket – a short walk further into Vulkan
