STRANGELY ENOUGH
WEE

A solo performance featuring dancer Gry Kipperberg. The music was composed by Luigi Ceccarelli, and is performed live on stage by double bass player Daniele Roccato.

“Strangely Enough” is based on an investigation of how physicality can be influenced and transformed by perception and the internal state of being. Physical experiences collide with the soundscape and conceptual situations. Images appear simultaneously simple and enigmatic, visible and concealed, and the abstract flows into concrete forms and actions. Subjects such as time, escape and distance appear in a dramaturgical context with references to the “thriller” genre. Shifting. Moving. Changing. Blurring. The perception of an intimate microcosm can resonate into us, generating physical or emotional short-circuits. Creating visual analogies, shaped by our consciousness, our recognition and our self-reflection.
