DEATH, LOVE AND THE LIGHTNESS OF BEING
3 performances in one night
Karene says:
I suddenly realized that these three female choreographers had a project in the making that we simply had to present at Dansens Hus. Imagine three intelligent, creative and unpredictable new performances in one evening, all of which show their strong personality and skill. If you ask me, it’ s utterly irresistible.
«Everlasting»
"Always running and always wanting to go back but always being further and further away until, finally, it was just a scene in a movie where a girl says hello into the cauldron of the world and you are just a woman watching that movie with her husband on the couch and his legs are across your lap and you have to go to the bathroom."

«GRAVEL»
Sure, this too treats a little on environmentalism and the war on terror.
And on
the global economy and self-mutilation and shopping malls, and even a little bit on
the Ethiopian Ministry of Education. But that’ s only because it’ s so difficult to say anything
about this other thing. Existence. To be born, and slowly filling oneself,
to die. For where does one draw the line between taking up enough space to
exist, and taking up so much space that the existence of others is impaired?
The title »gravel» reflects upon the poem by Geir Gulliksen about the near impossibility of
only being one out six billion individuals, and the necessity of
seeing one self as more than a grain in the sand dune of the world. At the very least
one must see one self as a piece of gravel, large enough to be picked up and held in one’ s hand.

«NUMB»
In "Numb", the balance of the "in between" is put to the test. An "anti-state"; a sense of neither/nor. In a bubble of boredom and monotony, the dancers move in the no man’ s land between dynamic and static."
